Mike Huckabee can keep his ersatz sympathy to himself. If he knew anything about what it's like to have cancer and lousy insurance coverage, he wouldn't be shilling for health savings accounts.
My husband has bone marrow cancer. His insurance company recently decided that they aren't going to pay for any more testing of his bone marrow. The tests are how his oncologist measures the progression of the cancer. They can't go to his house and put a pillow over his head - so they'll kill him by denying coverage. Gotta keep those CEO bonuses rising sky high.

If the entire country or a very very large portion of it wants something and politicians refuse to do it. Is this still a democracy?
Our lives are the play things of evil fools.
Death, personal suffering, these are only real when it happens to them. We are just numbers to be placated at election time.
