LONDON - Four blasts rocked the London subway and tore open a packed double-decker bus during the morning rush hour Thursday, sending bloodied victims fleeing in the worst attack on London since World War II. At least 40 people were killed, U.S. officials said, and more than 390 wounded in the terror attacks.

New York Times reporter Judith Miller was sent to jail Wednesday after a federal judge declared that she was "defying the law" for refusing to divulge the name of a confidential government source in the outting of undercover CIA operative Valerie Plame. Matthew Cooper of Time magazine, was spared after announcing a last-minute deal with a confidential source that he said would allow him to testify before a grand jury. We speak with New York Times Op-Ed columnist Bob Herbert.

As Al Franken said perhaps Judith will find those WMD's in her cell. I believe she belongs behind bars but not for covering up for a white house source that outed an undercover CIA agent. She deserves to be in prison for being a major source of leading America into an illegal war just to advance her own career. I only wish they would send her to one of those really intense State Prisons.

Conservatives in Congress are looking for new ways to deprive individuals of their due process rights. The Streamlined Procedures Act of 2005 "would limit the ability of defendants facing the death sentence to have cases reviewed by federal courts in habeas corpus appeals."

Former administration propagandist Armstrong Williams continues to prove his incompetence. In a 4th of July column, Williams not only misattributes a quote to President Abraham Lincoln but also dates the statement ten years past the assassination of Honest Abe.
