YahooOOOoooo!!! One down.....

Vice President Dick Cheney's top adviser, I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, has been indicted on obstruction of justice, false statement, and perjury charges by a grand jury investigating the leak of a covert CIA operative's identity. No decision on charges for presidential advisor Karl Rove was announced today. However he remains under investigation.

Fitzgerald Extends Grand Jury To Continue Investigation

“Fitzgerald’s spokesman, Randall Samborn, said the investigation will continue but with a new grand jury. The term of the current grand jury cannot be extended beyond today.”

There is not anyone on the top tier in the White House that is not involved, on some level, with this conspiracy. That certainly includes Bob Novack. They are all traitors. That being said, this news is better than finding money with pictures of naked people on it.
The rightards are cackling with glee that only Scooter has been indicted - failing to grasp that there was sufficient evidence to empanel another grand jury and continue the investigation.

After the travesty of Kenneth Starr's investigation and all those "leaks" - I appreciate how quietly and solidly Fitzgerald is building his case.
Maybe the right wing media is trying to pretend to be thrilled... but what I am hearing from the main stream media is that the bush administration is not happy, and they know that this is the tip of the iceberg...

The SLAPPED libby with 5 of them being conspiracy... [you can't conspire with yourself!!] and people are saying that he didn't do rove yet because he wants to get libby to talk...

SO... a new grand jury is forming and I read on the blogosphere that the next indictments will be out in weeks NOT months....

a gift that keeps on giving!!!
I wish I shared your optimism about this investigation, but...

I can't see how Fitzgerald gets anything more than perjury on anyone involved unless Libby rolls over on Cheney and the rest of the Iraq Group - but why would he do that? He's got at least a year until he's found guilty and sentenced and then he'll only have to serve less than 2 years before Bush pardons him.
