Already leaving 2,000 behind....
An American soldier was killed Tuesday in a vehicle accident near Camp Bucca, the U.S. detention center in southern Iraq, the U.S. military said Wednesday, a day after the somber milestone of 2,000 military deaths in the Iraq war was reached.
The soldier, whose identity was withheld pending notification of relatives, was medically evacuated to Shiba Hospital in the city of Basra, where he was pronounced dead, the military said.
