Comments:
I'm glad that the vote was positive but am insanely pissed off that our "representatives" voted the friggin' party line. Ugh....

It very slimly passed bill with the New Hampshire Senators again voting in line with hardcore radical conservatives. It so screwy that a working class new england state like New Hampshire is represented by Politicians who would fit in better in mid western states like Nebraska, Kansas or Utah.

Does the Republican Party spend so much money putting these Neo-Cons in power here because of New Hampshires importance in the Presidential Primaries.

Jon - I think you're absolutely right regarding how our representatives are put into office. I mean, I know a good number of Republicans and the majority of them DO NOT buy into a lot of the stuff that the reps in DC buy into. I really think it's because of the belief that where NH goes, so goes the country in regards to the President. It's really frustrating because the Neo Cons in power represent such a small minority of Republican voters.

So goes the Country indeed. I don't understand the big dealio with the first in the nation stuff anyway. Maybe if we were 6th in the nation, we could get a true representation of our electorate. As for the foreign aid funding things,I have a little gem that may upset some folks here but the facts are the facts and they are irrefutable. In or around 1977, the Carter Administration ( and I love that guy) implemented the Foriegn Aid Funding Act ( or such like) that was poda prohibit foreign aid funding packages to ANY Nation seeking nuclear weapons technology programs, either covertly or otherwise. Now I am on board with the medical and reproductive choice thing 108% and all the way but our good freinds in Israel and Egypt continually get the number 1 and 2 slots in Foreign aid in the world from us the American taxpayer. Does innovative medical choice get taught in schools in Israel? And if so, will their funding get cut until they stop teahcing same? I am not trying to start trouble here (really) I just want to get the facts.
