SCOTUS
I won't go through all the implications here but unless you have had your head in your Chandler, you should at least have heard that Senator Judd Gregg is being floated by members of both sides, as a potential replacement for the retiring Justice Sandra Day O'Connor. I'll link you to politicsnh.com and you can check out the daily rags from there. Here's my take... Our current semi-D Guvnah Lynch, will be stepping all over himself trying to figure a way to put Betty Tamposi back inside the Beltway, and remain a viable candidate for the party, that's the DemocraP party, this next cycle. We all know John and Betty are tight and his affinity to reach and smooch the Right is pathetic, albeit productive in his own mind.
We'll see what kind of productive ads Warren and the Right puts out in 06 against...(for???) our current Guvnah for all of his reaching and smooching. My money is on Betty-Travelgate- Tamposi for sliding into Greggs chair if the Senator gets to the high court. Check out politicsnh.com... I have to go throw up.

They'll never do it. Not with a Democratic Governor to make the appointment. They need Gregg here to rubber stamp their loathsome policies - and that last NH supreme really screwed 'em up.
I see Jeanne Shaheen as a more likely appointee than Tamposi.

Gregg is the consummate Righty party boy. I see the Dems in the Beltway are pushing for this very appointment and I am surprised they, the D's, would think the Righties would not see through this thinly veiled ploy. Fran Wendleboe has tried more than once, unsuccessfully, to insert legislation that the Righty Loaded Executive Council have final approval over such appointments due to possible sitting Democratic Governor political slants.
Gregg will probably not get the chance to pad his resume with the SCOTUS nod and he will no doubt sacrifice for his beloved, whoring, crooked, power mongering party. As for Tamposi/Shaheen... Lynch is mad about Travelgate Betty and Shaheen is just another registered "D" centrist just as Lynch. That nod, for Lynch, would not be as sharing, caring or smooching to the Righty side to bump another "D" to higher office on his watch. Shaheen's wishes of getting another shot at the US Senate via a Gubernatorial boost will likely not go her way. It is probably the most logical choice however.
If it were me in the corner office, Paul Hodes would most certainly be on my short list. And then well, a bit of self serving, maybe me... Talk about a shakeup.
